Antek and Lena had always dreamed of seeing a real circus under a big blue tent. When the colourful posters saying "Circus Orion" were hung in their town, the siblings immediately felt a thrill of excitement. In the evening, holding their parents' hands, they admired with wide-open eyes the luminous garlands wrapping the huge tent. Inside, it smelled of candyfloss and popcorn. The audience whispered excitedly. The real magic began when Mr Victor, the master of ceremonies in a cylinder, entered the arena, closely followed by a pair of twin fiery-haired clowns. The sun was just setting when the first show began: acrobats gliding just under the dome of the tent performed pirouettes in the air, leaving glittering stars in their wake, as if their hands were painting the dark sky. Lena could not take her eyes off the enigmatic illusionist, whom everyone called Madam Lumia. Her wand was made of a piece of moon glass and her hat sparkled with silver sequins. As she raised her hand, colourful scarves danced in the air, arranging themselves into animals not seen in any zoo.
