An Incredible Adventure in Mr. Stefan's Fridge

When Charles woke up on Saturday, he didn't expect to find himself and his sister Lena in his neighbour's fridge that day. And he certainly didn't anticipate that a foot of mayonnaise would be in their way.
It all started with an unusual request. Mr Stefan, their elderly but perpetually laughing neighbour, rang the doorbell and asked for help. He claimed that his new 'space' fridge had programmed its own rules and now wouldn't let him take out his favourite carrot juice.
- If you don't help, I'm in danger of dehydration! - dramatised Mr Stefan, feigning fainting on their doormat.
Charles and Lena looked at each other. They both knew that when Mr Stefan said 'help', it meant adventure. So they changed out of their pyjamas into comfortable clothes and after just a moment they were standing in their neighbour's kitchen.
The fridge was flashing with coloured lights. A note hung on the door: "Attention: enter singly (or double if one likes a squeeze)". Lena, of course, read it aloud with a serious face.
- So, young explorers, who's first? - asked Mr Stefan, pretending to be the voice of a quiz show.
- Me! - replied Karol, as he never refused a fridge challenge. Lena did not want to be worse and immediately went in after him. It wasn't dark or cold inside. On the contrary - the shelves were whirling, spinning like a carousel, and the jar of pickles was smiling invitingly.
- Good morning in a cold world! - a voice rang out, although you couldn't see who was speaking.
Charles looked at Lena. Lena shrugged her shoulders.
Suddenly something shook under their feet. With a loud "BRING!" the big bag of frozen chips began to dance a samba, and the yoghurts spread out in a perfectly even line.
Then they heard someone's serious gasp and from behind a box of ice cream emerged... a strange, furry creature with a milk cap on its head. It looked like a cat, a hamster and a bottle all in one.
- I am Chodzix! Guardian of this fridge! Who dares to disturb the order of my shelves? - he called out, brandishing an ice cream spoon like a magic wand.
At that moment, the shelves shimmered even brighter and the mischievous carrot began to recite a poem about vitamins. Charles and Lena didn't know whether to laugh or run away. One thing was for sure: if they wanted to get Mr Stefan's carrot juice out and back into the ordinary world, they had to take up Chlodzix's challenge. Just what kind of challenge? And would they get out of it without frozen socks?
Suddenly, the fridge shook even harder, and Chodzix pointed to the magic door hidden behind the yoghurts. Behind them, something flashed alarmingly bright....
