Filip, Lena and Tymek were friends who loved to spend time together on hikes in the surrounding forest. Their hometown, Polanówko, was surrounded by large trees, and beyond the town flowed a narrow river whose meandering banks were drowned in wild ivy. One day, as the sun was already setting, Lena noticed something unusual lying just beside the water. - Look! - she called out, pointing her finger at a dark shape among the ferns. They carefully walked closer and discovered an old, moss-covered stone bridge. It looked very old - some of the stones were crumbled, and water swirled under the bridge, creating silent eddies. However, when Philip touched one of the stones, it glowed with a pale light. - Did you see that? - whispered Philip, quickly taking his hand away. - This stone... it's glowing! Tymek crouched down to take a closer look. - Maybe it's some kind of trick of the light? - he wondered aloud. Lena, however, knew it was something more. The bridge seemed to be whispering, inviting them to cross to the other side. After a short deliberation, although their hearts fluttered in their chests with excitement and slight anxiety, they decided to cross the bridge. With each step, the glow of the stones grew stronger, and a light golden mist began to rise from the other side of the bridge. When they reached the middle of the crossing, they felt a gentle breeze that brought with it the sounds of completely unknown animals. Somewhere beneath their feet, the bridge trembled, and a melodic, unearthly laugh rang out over the water. - There, on the other side... something moved! - whispered Lena, pointing at the silhouette of a mignonette among the mist. The friends looked at each other, not knowing what was beyond the bridge, or what was waiting for them once they crossed it....
