In the thick of the old forest, where the trees hum even in windless weather, lived some very unusual friends. They included the cheerful badger Boris, the brave squirrel Fela, the wise owl Otylia and the somewhat clumsy hedgehog Gucio. Every day brought them new adventures, but this evening promised to be particularly special. The Great Forest Concert, for which the animals had been waiting all year, was approaching. Fela jumped from branch to branch, unfolding leafy notes, Otylia practised creaking branches, Boris built a stage out of moss and Gucio secretly practised his drum solo on empty nut shells. As dusk fell and the moon rose over the tops of the spruce trees, all the members of the forest orchestra gathered in the clearing. They spread out their instruments - whoever had one brought a pebble, a pinecone or a piece of stick, because every sound was needed here. As they walked along the great oak tree, Gucio noticed something strange. Glowing golden marks were appearing on the moss, which had not been there before. "Look!" - he called out, pointing to the shimmering footprints. The animals came closer, and their eyes widened in amazement. With every step they took, the footprints shone even brighter, as if inviting them to go further. "I've never seen anything like it!" - whispered Fela, twisting her ears. "Maybe this leads to something special?" - pondered Otylia, fluttering her wings. Suddenly, there was a quiet, unfamiliar sound from behind the bushes, and footsteps began to meander towards the deepest, darkest part of the forest. The friends looked at each other with excitement and a slight shiver of apprehension. They knew that if they wanted to discover what lay at the end of the golden footprints, they must dare to follow them.... As they set off to follow the shimmering path, the darkness around them grew thicker and the sounds of the forest became more and more mysterious. The clearing was behind them, and an unknown, fascinating world stretched out before them. Then the footsteps suddenly broke off at an old boulder, and a strange metallic sound came from behind it....
