Lena and Maks lived on the youngest colony of humans - Proxima b. It is a planet orbiting the nearest star to Earth, inhabited by several hundred families who bravely left home to start a new life among the stars. Every day here was an adventure: blue-purple skies, giant plants and strange animals made Proxima such an unusual place that it was never boring. One morning, as Lena was reviewing transmissions from an old communications station on the edge of the colony, she noticed a strange disturbance. A mysterious signal flashed on the screen, completely different from anything she had seen before. "Maks, come quick!" she called out, not taking her eyes off the screen. Her brother ran into the room, clutching a game puck in his hand. - 'What's going on? - Look! - she pointed with a trembling hand at the spinning lines and flashing signs. Maks stared at the screen and then at his sister. They both knew that this station had been out of service for years. It should have been as quiet as a grave, and yet something had triggered it. They decided to check it out for themselves without mentioning a word to their parents. They took their backpacks and torches and climbed into the chopper, which Maks could already steer almost like an adult. When they reached the station, they saw that the front door was slightly ajar, as if someone had recently been there. There was a strange, pulsating light coming from inside. - Do you have an access key? - Lena asked in a whisper. Maks nodded and reached into his pocket. They stepped carefully inside. Dust covered the corridors and the echoes of their footsteps echoed in the darkness. In the command centre, screens lit up the room with a bright green, and an intermittent message appeared on one of them: "HELP... I'M NOT ALONE..."
