Mr Hare's Secret Egg

In a small village behind a big forest, where birdsong woke the sun and the smell of freshly baked buns wafted through the air, lived Mr Hare - the most famous Easter Courier.
Every year, just before Christmas, Mr Hare would pack up his big basket and set off to leave colourful eggs for children all over the world. But something was different this time...
- Something doesn't feel right... - muttered Mr Hare, scratching behind his ear. - I have one more egg than I should!
It was huge, shiny gold and.... strangely warm.
- Was it a surprise gift? Or perhaps the doom of some dragon? - wondered Mr Hare, tapping the shell with his claw.
Concerned, he decided to ask his friends. Kunegunda the duck said it was definitely a chocolate egg. Owl Stefan suspected that there might be a map to the treasure inside. And little Lila Mouse.... just wanted to hatch it and call it "Bubble".
Mr Hare had no idea what to do. After all, he couldn't leave an unknown egg with some child! But also... maybe this was the most important egg of all?
