Behind Zuzia's house, just beyond a rusty gate overgrown with wild vines, a world of adventure began. One cloudy afternoon, when threatening clouds hung low over the rooftops, Zuzia, her brother Maks and her neighbour Lena prowled the attic in search of something interesting. They found a box full of old comic books, some forgotten toys and.... a huge roll of paper tied with a leather thong. When they unrolled the scroll, they saw something amazing: it was a detailed, hand-drawn map. The Forest of Whispers was marked on it with a big green X, and next to it were mysterious drawings of an aeroplane made of sticks and strings. The children immediately felt a thrill of excitement. "Maybe it's a map to some hidden treasure or unusual place?" whispered Lena, glancing at her siblings with excited eyes. Later that evening, they formed the Sky Explorers Club. They vowed to discover together where the map led. After much preparation - they packed sandwiches, snatched up a torch, a compass and Dad's old camera - they set off at dawn. The sun was slowly rising above the horizon, and they had the feeling that every step along the path was becoming more and more unusual. In the Forest of Whispers, trees grew so tall that their crowns were lost in the clouds. Every gust of wind sounded like the laughter of hidden creatures, and the path from the map seemed to appear once, then disappear under the leaves. After several hours of walking, they reached a clearing in the middle of which lay a huge pile of dry branches, arranged like a large nest. After a while, Lena shouted: "Look!" - and pointed to something shiny under the branches. Susie and Maks looked at the place Lena was showing them, and.... suddenly they heard a strange rustling coming from behind them. All three of them stood still. What could be lurking there?
