Star Explorers: Mission Alpha 7

Three... two... one... START! The rocket blasted off from Earth straight into the black, boundless sky. On board sat four friends: Lena, Maks, Sara and Igor. Each of them had a special task. Lena was the pilot, Maks the technician, Sara the researcher and Igor documented everything with his camera.
Their mission? To reach the Alpha 7 research station, which was orbiting the distant planet Orionis. After long months of preparation at the Space Centre, their big day had finally arrived. Through the ship's windows, all that could be seen were twinkling stars and colourful nebulae. The Earth grew smaller and smaller until it disappeared completely.
"According to the course we will arrive in five hours," Lena called out, looking at the navigation screen. Maks glanced at the control panels, trying to solve sudoku along the way. Sara was drawing a new plan in her notebook to study the plants on Orionis, and Igor was recording every detail of the trip to show to his friends at school later.
When, after many hours of travel, they approached the Alpha 7 station, they saw it emerging from among the rings of the planet. It was huge, silvery and looked like a spider web stretched across the cosmos. "Look! What are those lights?" shouted Sara suddenly. An unfamiliar signal was flashing on one of the station modules. "That's not our signal light," said Maks somewhat quietly.
The ship slowly docked at the airlock. Everyone was dressed in light suits, as the temperature on the station sometimes dropped to minus two hundred degrees! After passing through the entrance airlock, Lena opened the door to the main corridor. It was quiet and empty there, although a research team should be waiting for them.
"Hello? Is anyone here?" called out Igor, but only an echo answered him. As they went deeper, there were glowing signs on the walls that they had never seen before. "They look like letters, but they're not our alphabet," whispered Sara, touching one of the symbols. Suddenly, the entire corridor lit up with pulsating light, and strange, colourful patterns began to appear under their feet.
Lena looked at the team. "This is something new. Something we've never encountered before..." At the same moment, a sound that resembled a quiet cry came from inside the station. The friends moved towards the source of the strange voice, having no idea what awaited them around the next bend....
