Superpower in the attic

Alice always enjoyed holidays at her grandfather's house in the countryside. Grandpa had a huge house with an attic full of cobwebs, which had always fascinated the girl, even though the adults claimed there was nothing interesting there. One hot afternoon, Alicia slipped quietly out of the kitchen, leaving behind the smell of fresh yeasty biscuits, and slipped up the creaky stairs to the attic.
Upstairs, between old trunks, she found a dusty metal box she had never seen before. When she opened it, her eyes widened in amazement. Inside lay a silver watch with a lightning bolt engraved on it. As soon as she touched it with her finger, she felt a tingling sensation throughout her body. Suddenly, the world around her slowed down - the cobweb she had nearly tripped a moment before hung motionless in the air, dust specks stood still, and a strangely stretched, funny sound came from the old radio.
Alice looked at her own hands and tried to move her fingers - she was very fast! At least compared to everything around her. She ran across the loft and her feet barely brushed the floor, the creaking barely audible. The watch on her wrist shone mysteriously. Suddenly, downstairs, someone slammed the door. Startled, Alicia walked to the window and saw a stranger in the garden, a boy in a dark sweatshirt, looking straight at her. In his hands shone an object very similar to her watch....
Alice felt a shiver of anxiety. Who is this boy? Where did he get the same watch? And what would happen if they tried to use the powers at the same time?
