Superpowers in the attic

Simon and Lena didn't expect this holiday to be different from any other. Their parents decided to send them to Aunt Ada, who lived in an old house on the outskirts of town. The house was big, full of nooks and crannies and creaking stairs, and the best place to play turned out to be the huge attic.
One afternoon, when it was pouring rain outside, Simon suggested: "Let's go exploring upstairs! Maybe we'll find something cool." Lena wasn't convinced, but curiosity won out. They climbed the steep stairs, dodging cobwebs and old suitcases.
In the corner, under a pile of forgotten books, Lena spotted a wooden box covered in dust. She carefully opened it, and inside lay an old compass with a strangely shiny needle. Simon caught it in his hand, and then there was a quiet clatter, as if the air around it trembled.
"Look, the needle is spinning like crazy," Simon said. The compass began to glow with a soft blue light. Suddenly, the siblings heard a voice that did not belong to anyone in the room: "Only the brave can discover what this house hides. Each of you has a power that you must know."
Before they had time to be frightened, Simon felt he could move objects without touching them, and Lena she could see things hidden behind the walls! She rubbed her eyes, not believing that she could see through the old wardrobe to the other side of the room.
"We have to find out how it works!" exclaimed Lena. At that moment, the compass lit up again, indicating a staircase leading even higher, to a secret part of the attic that even Aunt Ada had never mentioned.
The siblings looked at each other excitedly and cautiously headed towards the stairs. The closer they got, the harder the compass shone.
Suddenly they heard muffled footsteps coming from upstairs and saw a shadow moving just beyond the closed door....
