The attic of Tymek's old house was never a particularly cosy place. Crackling floors, dust, mysterious shadows and large wooden beams that resembled the skeletons of ancient monsters. However, this was where Tymon was most likely to search for treasures with his younger sister, Lena. One cloudy afternoon, as the rain drummed against the roof, the siblings slipped quietly upstairs. They looked through old boxes of books and broken toys, until finally Lena pointed to a dark corner of the attic. "Look! What's that?" - she whispered, pointing to a tall, dusty wardrobe that her parents had never mentioned. Tymon struggled to open the heavy door. Inside, a huge old clock stood on a shelf. Its dial was cracked and its hands were strangely bent. The most surprising thing, however, was that the hands moved... in the opposite direction than they should. - Maybe it's broken? - Lena looked at it with uncertainty. - 'I don't know... Come on, let's have a closer look,' replied Tymon full of curiosity. The clock appeared to be locked with a small key still stuck in the hole. Tymon turned it gently, and then the mechanism inside squeaked and the clock started ticking twice as fast, and the light in the attic trembled as if from a sudden gust of wind. Suddenly things began to happen around them that they could not explain. Shadows in the shape of unfamiliar animals moved across the floor, and light came in through the dusty windows, changing colours like a kaleidoscope. Tymon looked at Lena. Had everyone who had ever opened a cupboard experienced something similar? Or could the clock really do more than just tell time? At that moment, the clock made a loud metallic sound, and a quiet tapping began to come from inside the wardrobe....
