The Mystery of the Suburban Train

Natalka lived in a small, quiet town where the old railway station was the biggest attraction. She spent every afternoon there together with Philip, her best friend. They loved to watch the trains coming and going, making up stories about travellers and mysterious luggage.
One day, as they stood on platform number three, they heard a strange sound. It wasn't the usual swish of a locomotive or the clatter of wheels against rails. It sounded more like whispering....
- Did you hear that? - Philip asked, wrinkling his eyebrows. - 'I think it was from that old train on the siding.
Natalka walked closer, her heart pounding like crazy. The train looked different from usual: it was covered in green moss and had huge round headlights that were just now winking at her. Suddenly she felt something strange. It was as if a voice had spoken in her head:
- Hi Natalia... I need your help.
Natalia looked around, convinced that someone was joking with her. But Philip was standing next to her with his eyes wide open.
- Did you hear that? - she whispered.
- 'I didn't hear anything, you're just looking at the wagon strangely...'
Natalka realised that the voice could only hear her and... she seemed to understand what the machine was saying! Suddenly she understood - she can talk to trains!
The mysterious train asked her to go inside. It assured her that it was hiding a big secret that could change the whole town, but it needed Natalka's help. The girl looked uncertainly at Philip and the carriage door, which slowly began to open with a quiet creak....
