Zosia and Tymek had always loved looking up at the night sky. They lived on the edge of an old forest, where the trees hummed quietly and the air smelled of needles and adventure. One evening, lying on the roof of the shed, Zosia noticed something strange. - Tymek, look! - she whispered, pointing with her finger. - A moment ago there was a star there, and now there is no star! Timothy furrowed his eyebrows and looked up at the sky. Indeed, the place where the brightest star had always shone was empty. - Maybe it's a cloud? - wondered the boy. But there were no clouds. The sky that evening was exceptionally clear. Zosia took an old notebook out of her pocket and began to make a note of which stars were disappearing. It turned out that every few minutes another one disappeared. The next day they informed her grandparents, but they only smiled. - Maybe this is a sign of a magical adventure? - joked the grandfather, winking in agreement. In the evening, Zosia and Tymek decided to go deeper into the forest. They had torches, binoculars and a sky map. When they became very tired, they sat down under an old, spreading oak tree. Suddenly, in the midst of the silence, they heard a soft whisper: - Help... A small, glowing ghost in a blue hood appeared next to the trunk of the oak tree. He was crying. Around it floated silver sparkles, as if bits of stardust. - Who... who are you? - asked Zosia, unable to take her eyes off the strange creature. The ghost looked at the children with its big golden eyes. - I am the Guardian of the Stars. I need your help. Someone is stealing stars from the sky....
