The Night Secret of Luna Circus

The Luna Circus appeared at the edge of the old forest one stormy night, lighting up the darkness with a thousand colourful lanterns. For Niki and Erik it was the news of the year - nothing ever happened in their little town, and suddenly here was a circus! From early in the morning, the children could be heard chatting in the courtyard, dreaming of seeing magicians, jugglers and Captain Elf's famous trained parrot.
Erik, two years older than his sister, had a nose for adventure. "You know what I heard?" - he whispered to Nikka over breakfast - "There's something strange going on in that circus after midnight. Apparently the animals talk and the tent grows all the way up to the clouds!" Nika rolled her eyes, but a shiver of excitement ran down her spine.
That evening her parents took them to the premiere show. It smelled of candyfloss and popcorn. The tricks were amazing - the magician conjured a pigeon out of his hat and a fountain of colourful butterflies, and clown Miro was able to turn into a shadow. But while everyone clapped, the siblings couldn't stop thinking about what might happen when night fell.
On their return, when the house was already asleep, Nika and Eric slipped out of the window. The silence was as thick as pumpkin soup, with only the lights of the circus twinkling in the distance. They crept through the tall grass until suddenly... they heard a soft rustling and saw a brand new tent appear in the middle of the arena, which had not been there before. Mysterious whispers and quiet laughter came from inside.
Suddenly, a yellowish glow shone among the curtains and something - or someone - flashed through a gap in the tent. The siblings held their breath and moved a little closer still. Would they be able to look inside and discover the secrets of Luna's Circus?
