Treasure of the Old Oak

Treasure of the Old Oak
In the depths of the Murmuring Forest, where the sun's rays dance on the leaves and the wind sings softly among the branches, lived a merry team of animals. Among them were the brave fox Rudo, the crafty squirrel Sarah, the dreaming owl Balthazar and the hedgehog Pikuś, who always knew how to make everyone laugh with his little nose. Under the spreading root of the Old Oak, the oldest tree in the forest, a round metal lid was sticking out. Something flashed when he tried to pull it out. Felix only nodded from his hut by the creek and muttered: "For such things you need cleverness and patience." In the evening, the animals gathered under the oak tree. They planned to return as soon as night fell, because supposedly then no one would notice them, and nights under the Old Oak were always full of unusual sounds. Rudo was convinced that together they would succeed. Suddenly, a strange rustling sound came to them from the thickets. Sara became immobile, Pixie turned pale with anxiety, and Balthazar opened his eyes wide. The moonlight peeked out from behind the clouds and illuminated two yellow, glowing pairs of eyes between the bushes. They had never seen anyone like this before in the forest. The eyes slowly approached their find and finally emerged from the darkness....
